While at the summernats in Canberra I was looking at C.A.P.A 's cars in the dyno shed. I looked into a couple of engine bays and 1 look different as everthing was tight. I took a look at the whole car then realised it was a black Territory fitted with a superchaged 260 Boss mtr. They say it cannot be done but C.A.P.A managed it. Would go well.

i think the front end has been replaced with XR8 internals. If it kept the territory internals i would imagine it wouldn't fit. but i could be wrong.

paul7v7,

If by internals you mean entire Falcon front sub-assembly, including Falcon Suspension, Falcon, crossmembers, Falcon R&P steering, Falcon steering shaft/column, Falcon sway bars and all Falcon tubing, plumbing and wiring then you'd be right.

I also believe it has a Falcon control blade rear suspension.

I personally think they have a hide still calling it a Territory but I understand it's just a marketing exercise. It's actually more like a re-bodied XR8 Falcon.

Yep that's what I meant :) I just wasn't sure exactly what was changed.

Yeah I think CAPA themselves describe it as effectively being an XR8 from the firewall forward. Every part in the catalogue is needed for the installation, not just the engine. All the little nuts, bolts, fittings, everything! Mammoth effort to do something like that :notworthy

Sure would be a fun thing to drive though :hump:

Be more impressive if they used the Turbo motor and had AWD. Get it out on the burnout pad at Summernats doing donuts :hump: :wiggle2:

I saw that there Terror-tory at bathurst last year. Awesome looking and sounding car/whatever. But the down point is it dwarfed the XR6 wheels, needs at least 18"s or 19s

Check out the top pic, they are either 20 or 22 inch wheels that were fitted not long after Bathurst. I can't remember the exact size but they are huge.

From memory they are 22" rims ... next was the big brake upgrade from what CAPA wrote on their site.

I think the motor is the 220 kw jobbie not the BOSS. Still ... a big effort!!!

I love the look of this thing - sans the badges and the CAPA signwriting all over it, it looks fantastic down all low. And of course, power to boot!

Last thing i heard it was up for sale, any further news on that, or do CAPA still own it?

Did you even look at the pics? Would you know what your looking at?

It's a BOSS 260kw XR8 motor with added CAPA Blower kit!
