Does anyone know how (if possible) to get airconditioning into the rear of the Territory if a third row wasn't optioned?

I have a border collie and want to take her places, but over the weekend had 41 degrees and believe it essential to have air in the rear for the dog.

3rd row doesnt get you extra vents anyway..

Turn the aircon up, it will filter in providing you dont have some stupid plastic cargo barier that detaches the rear from the main occupant area.

So OK then what are the vents in the rear for? I assumed (and assumptions are the mother of all f..k up's) that these were for optional air vents when a third row is fitted. Surely they aren't just decorative!

What do the air vents at the rear look like & where are they located?

If your talking about the perforations on either side under window, I think they are there to equalise pressure.

Many thanks, never thought of that. The way that they point down, one thought it a seat vent.

Having just done a long trip with two people in the third row today, the feedback from them is that Ford definitely need to install air-con vents in the back...

I had the family in the back the other day .... and as long as you have at least one vent point over towards the back ... it's fine .... even if you point the front 2 vent up towards the roof .. it allows col air to pass over to the 3rd row at the rear ... but the best thing to do if you want to back section to be cool ... it to run the car for a few minutes with the air-con on full (with no one in the car) ... and let it cool right down.
