Territory Country Pack

While many have speculated on future models, I reckon that given Terri's car-like DNA, what Ford could easily produce would be a "Country Pack" or "Weekender" style package with
Extra Ground Clearance...to around 220-230mm
RTV style rear diff lock...already in Ford parts bin
Taller tyres...common Prado like 265/65/17...easy to replace out bush!

Forget chasing the hard-core offroad market, Terri doesn't belong there.
Chase the Japanese dominated market that use hardcore offroaders for medium offroad tasks. Leave the Barra 182 in it, get the Deisel if you can find additional export markets, cause local numbers may not stack up.

Couldn't cost a hellava lot extra to make and over half of the extra clearance will come from the tyres anyway.

Its offroad visual cred with these tyres will instantly put it into the minds of Fords incremental target market.

Who would buy it ? Recreation, Rural, Mining, Construction.

Also would be handy if the 6sp auto could be organised to have a much lower first gear too, since low range is out of the question. It might even help fuel consumption in traffic, by getting the car rolling easily (less throttle opening) before dropping into 2nd.
