I was in the process of buying a new Fiesta Zetec a couple of years back at a large Ford Dealership, salesman was doing his thing, telling us all about the car etc, bear in mind I was a genuine buyer with cash to part with ... and he knew this.
Next thing I know "he just dissapears", didn't think much of it, thought he must have ducked off to the toilet or something, after about half an hour or so had passed I asked one of ladies who worked there if she knew where the salesman had gone?
Turns out he lived not too far away and ..... "HAD GONE HOME FOR LUNCH" ... right in the middle of a deal to a genuine buyer! ... who he left just standing there in the middle of the sales floor!
Honestly some salespeople are their own worst enemies, ...... "I wonder if he made his sales target for the month?" .... "good work champ!"
