Re: Damn! Locked out!

Well, I'll finish the story off now that I'm on a computer and its easier to type than on my mobile.
First of all, I don't know what it is about me, but I am an avid "car locker". I tend to lock it at all times, even when it probably doesn't need to be locked. Habit dictates that when I close door, I hit lock button. Even at places like the carwash when I'm standing right next to it washing it.
So what happened is I needed to move some stuff out of the back seat into the hatch so I could carry passengers. Unlocked doors, got stuff out, locked doors. Opened hatch with button, put stuff in, distracted by my friends for half a moment and not realising I'd sat key in hat to get it out of my hands while moving the stuff, shut hatch.
So the RAA took about 45 minutes to come out, and about 1 minute to get in to car. He had this blowy uppy thing (like a blood pressure tester) that he pumped up in the pillar between front and rear door to make space for his second tool, the long metal unlocky thing, which he put through the gap, latched onto the lock and unlocked.
All ended well.
I guarantee it will happen again though, I really do have an unfortunate habit of locking keys in cars! :(
