Both my Garmins have always been accurate ... my old Streetpilot was great ... and so is my current Nuvi ... and it can adjust with traffic as well ... giving alternate routes with adjusted ETA times if the detour is taken as well.

As for tunnels ... it's just an average taken from the last speed read prior to entering the tunnel ... you will see the speed on the GPS will not change once in the tunnel.

I've never had an issue with ETA
