Contact the Asrf and get a copy of the rules for your state , there are two real choices , buy the body and drop it on something like a lux which means certain engine capacity restraints when registering as a lux or join your local club who will find an engineer to assist and guide you through building a real rod , doing either build has limitations but the last rod I built was a 1948 Austin A40 clevo powered delivery van which was registered here in Qld as an individual construct , the new owner wrote it off :( which was a waste of 3 long hard years of work and a great deal of money , good luck in your decissions and have fun
