The problem is that even a brand new car a few months out of the showroom won't usually pass the ADR's. Motorbikes have had this issue for decades. Cars are a whole different kettle of fish. The problem is that once you change a muffler...even for a standard replacement aftermarket one...it probably won't meet the sound requirements that it was tested with at the factory.

haha my 2007 GSXR 750 has a sticker on it saying with a stock exhaust it is 102db @ 6600rpm but now my full exhaust on there atm said on the box 107db @ 6000rpm... touch wood i havent been pulled over for it and its been on there for 5 years

i think some coppers/people just have it in for cars
