Default Re: Falcon Nissan ute

i had a nissan ute for 7 years.

the badge on the grill was held on with 2 self tapper screws over top of the ford badge. a small "nissan ute" sticker on each front guard behind the wheel arch and a very large "NISSAN" sticker on the tail gate. the centre cap for the steering wheel had "nissan" instead of "ford", that was the only part that looked to be specially made. i think the grill badge and tail gate sticker were off the 720 ute.

on the id plate it read "XFN nissan ute by ford motor company" .
it used to confuse the heck out of the girls at the main roads and insurance offices as XFN nissan ute did not show up on a lot of there data bases so they would just put it down as a XF ford ute.

i think that all the nissans came with LSD as standard while you had to pay extra for it in a ford and they had the better warrenty made them attractive to fleet buyers like councils etc but they were not big sellers in the private market.
mine was originally a private owned car and was the equivelent to the falcon GLS ute with Tbar auto etc but was about $3000 cheaper then the ford equivelents in the same condition when i bought it in `96.
