Insurance Claim

Although not specifically a Fiesta question, but as we own a WQ model, can we ask of the forum its view on claiming on our insurance for all the little scratches and blemishes sustained on the paintwork. It would be worth paying the excess if this was allowable.
Also what would we expect to pay for a repaint?
