Could you imagine those same police having to call his partner and explain how he died….

All they need to do is set rules similar to bicycles, 10 kph on footpaths and let’s say 25-30 kph in bikeways.
If kids can follow those rules then surely adults can too…
Nup - clown world, do something about all the armed robberies and shootings going on around Melbourne, like what happened today in Fawkner/Campbellfield with the assassination attempt and then the car jacking, then worry about Mr Glass BBQ and his e-scooter IMO.

Just cause he was riding a scooter at 58km/h on the road doesn't guarantee he would have died

Less baby sitting adults, if they come off at 60km/h without a helmet and protective gear its their problem IMO.

Even the overreaction of the flat bed turning up to take away his e-scooter, just throw it in the boot and drop it off to the impound, its just making a show out of it at our expense.

Its like how they used the police helicopter about a week ago to intercept a 17 year old kid riding on a motorised esky selling weed in Narre Warren - helicopter to intercept? Really? Then the kid got let off with a warning anyway:

No police helicopter for chasing the shooters today though
