I am a driver trainer since 1987 and I am at a loss as to the need to display P Plates, IMHO they serve no useful purpose whatsoever. Just a revenue raiser for the Government.
Can someone please convince me of the safety aspects of displaying P Plates, L Plates makes sense but not P Plates.
And in Victoria, 3 demerit points for not showing them, that is the same as going through a Stop sign, or a red light for christ sake. You can see the safety benifit in Red/Stop infringements, but P Plates!!!
In this day and age of computerisation, every Police car has access to someones details in seconds.
Give me a break. We don't need them!
