What happens to all the **** in the filter when it's burning off... It's being released into the atmosphere, it's only there to pass emissions tests at a certain point in time, a crock of **** that will scare used buyers away in years to come and drop the resale of whatever it's fitted to. Diesels seem to be a bit of a fad for city slickers especially euro buyers. Fortunately the euros are investing in small capacity turbo petrol engines that achieve similar economy.
