Has your transmission got over 220,000km on it now?
Putting in the extra fluid may be too late as the damage to the clutch packs like Russell suggested maybe is already done from wear & tear plus low fluid level.
To check if its stuffed, drain fluid & cut open the filter & look for clutch pack materials blocking it up.
Imo get a transmission specialist to have a look at it then go from there ie: service if its still good, reco box or good 2nd hand installed, good luck.
