: It takes about 5 minutes... I got a quote from Hillis Ford, Wagga Wagga for a new keyring fob - $90. After 2 minutes on eBay, I'd saved myself $70. Instructions for "training" a new keypad should be in the car's original handbook.
BTW, if you're in the NSW Riverina, avoid Hillis Ford - My second-hand AU missed the "major" recall fix
