If you check the specs, there is quite a wide variation allowed in toe. When I last had the wheels aligned, they said to keep an eye on the tyre wear, but it's been perfect ever since.
The NZ dealers do an alignment as part of the PDI, I assume it's the same in Oz. Get that wrong and you could have uneven wear from Day 1.
