After a bit of research i found that the lifters are the same size as the ed (11mm) and earlier was (14mm) so i was fine there,i pulled the whole rocker train off and pulled it apart and cleaned out all the arms and stuff with crc,a fair bit of crap came out of them too.I reassembled everything exactly how it was and it all runs as quiet as anything.I got 12 pieces of cut t shirt strips and tied all the lifters up so they wouldn't fall out and blocked off the oil holes in the head so nothing could fall into the abyss lol.I placed the rocker train into place putting all of the arms down to the valves then carefully just pulled each strip off that was holding the lifters into place and tightened it all up.
