Mustang parts are probably cheaper, the routes to repair more well-trod. Any XR sedan that’s not a mint one-owner car is essentially a GT-in-waiting.
I think also the reselling of a Mustang if you didn’t like it, would be a little easier than a Flagon.
Agree with the thrust of Smoo’s remarks, it’s as though you cede proprietorial rights when some of these cars are in public places. Peoples’ levels of respect vary enormously.
