Im not sure if it just me or is it really hard to get a start from the outside or if you dont know anybody?
Mate you got me stumped, Westrac (wa & nsw) have been heavily advertising for any sort of mechanic, that they can train up to "plant mechanic" standards. They now own Unit Rig trucks & O&K Shovels & Excavators. The mine I work @ currently has 2 of these shovels (1000 ton) & a fleet of Terex/Bucyrus 400 ton dumptrucks. I am due back in Perth next Tuesday, I will check Saturdays West Australian, if I find anything, I will send you some contact details. Be warned, Westrac work you hard, & only pay reasonably well. Most young guys leave after 2 years & retire to a mining company. Greg.
