bigger hammer, I used a 4lb hammer to really thump it (wedge tool), and then hit the knuckle and it popped out. I should mention I'm not scared to wield a hammer but I know how to handle one too.
the other trick is to use heat on the knuckle side of the tapered hole and hit it. The heat on the knuckle will open the taper, hopefully helping in releasing the tierod end when hitting it some more blows.
lol you can see why i removed my lower control arm when doing my suspension all those years back. It's tight as all buggery.
