G'day mate.

My transmission is just the std manual 4 speed that is found on all Australian 1600 and 2L Escorts, although the RS has a quick shifter. They can be had very cheaply in wreckers or on ebay, and they are pretty tough! I have four for my rally car as well, there are still four because none have ever broken (yet anyway). Mostly it's the nylon thread on the shifters that can break.
