Our mc zetec tdci has run over 170000km on Nulon long life diesel (claimed to be DPF friendly). This is not a fuel conserving oil.
Oil consumption is too little to notice on the dipstick and fuel consumption is the same as always (5.9-6.4).
Oil additives to reduce engine wear which also meet Ford's fuel conserving claims may not be ideal for dpf.
