I live in Brisbane now but am driving to the Gold Coast for work.
I am trading in an MY12.5 Tiguan 155TSI - which I bought when I was working in Sydney and thought I wanted more room to haul stuff. I really thought the GTI engine would give me some thrills but the car just felt uninvolving. I had more fun in my wife's MY11 77TSI Golf with a tiny 1.2 turbocharged engine ;)
Anyway, I was itchy for a change and wanted something fun without too much money - and was looking at the Polo GTI at first - but it was just insane how much it cost - and once you started piling on the options - it is just unbelievable.
Then I started seeing reviews pitching the Fiesta ST against the Polo and that piqued my interest ;) can't believe how much fun this tiny car is. I test drove the Fiesta before getting the Golf in 2011 but the build on the base Fiesta and the rear drum brakes were deal breakers then - so it made me overlook the ST initially
glad I came to my senses.
