I think you are talking about the Corolla with the 2ZZ engine?

This car did 0-100 in 8.4 secs
in 2021 you can go and buy the 86 which is slightly quicker
I can't find the specs of a current corolla but I think the ZR Hybrid is a lot quicker and they don't look too bad IMO
