The chassis are different on the F250/350/450, its designed for bigger loads, its the same as Chevrolet and Dodge with their vehicles and they have more appropriate engines.
Superduty range has the 6.7L V8 diesel.
I've got a 2001 GMC Sierra 3500 and there are differences between the 1500/2500/3500 and the 3500 HD even though they all look the same on the outside.
