Yes LaSalle was a GM division.
They closed it in 1941, it was Cadillacs junior division and did quite well, but they decided to make the brand seem more upmarket and call them Cadillac's.
Ah not to forget Hummer and Saab.
Also a long forgotten brand called Marquette.
