A mate of mine has a brother who was a former SAS. He tells me during the Iraq war, they found 70% of soldiers on foot struggled to pull the trigger when it mattered most. And so the rise of drones. They knew it was less accurate, and were going to kill more innocent people, but it didn't matter. Humans didn't have an issue pulling the trigger when they were watching a computer screen.
The next big war will have a lot of collateral damage. Its also interesting to learn where that word comes from.
Looking at where things are today, I think an all out war is unlikely. Maybe skirmishes. Too many people will loose too much money, both sides. Unlike Iraq where everyone got rich.
