Ohhhh....no no no.
The GT40 was already designed before the association with Lola/Broadley was reached.
Basically, they needed a car quick smart to test out alot of the components and the short time frame called for an exsisting car to be used as a test bed...here comes the Lola MK6.
The Lola already had the power of a Ford V8 and the monocoque chassis that the GT40 was designed with, do it fitted the criteria.
Broadley (Lola guru) clashed with Ford as his knowledge wasn't taken seriously (high nose/high weight) and split from the project.
