I haven't driven the current Camry, rather the previous Australian-made model in povo petrol-only spec. I did 1200 km in one, covering a huge variety of roads, from the deadly boring Hume, through the Snowy Mountains Highway and across to the NSW South Coast.
As you would expect, the ride comfort was fine on the highway, but would turn nice and roly-poly in the turns, and you could actually feel the tyres folding under.
But the most egregious part of the car was the terrible, and I mean
terrible!, seats. Rock hard, unsupportive and numb-bum inducing within 30 min. So yes, the "park bench" analogy certainly played out there.
