Push rods came in later than OHC. Nothing wrong with push rods. The old Windsors in the AU were push rod, decent little engine especially in the T series. The 5.6 was one of the if not the finest engine produced in AU. I rate it better than the 5.4 that followed in the B series.

Good point - re, Pushrods, but was trying to slag off the 'Red' brand without mentioning it by name or current model initials - been too much of it on the thread, lately.....
5.6 would be sweet!!!!! Always liked the look of the AUs, esp TS/TE and XR
