After a few attempts at juggling the trip, all options closed off and refunds are underway from the items we pre-booked; flights, hikes and river cruise. We'll look at booking again probably next year.
In the meantime, we're looking at reducing the leave and taking a road trip to some of the bush fire affected areas. Won't go any further than a days drive from home, just in case the local situation goes to hell.
