I think it was 2007 when they privatised the vehicle inspection centres, inspections went from $40 for 2 inspections to being $160 for 1 now, wont be long and all the mundane tasks will be in the private sector to be exploited for profit.
Funny how things change, I used to hate the rego stickers and never put them on. Fast forward to now and I went out of my way to get a birth year reproduction sticker for the Mk1.

Haven't been over the pits in many years but it can't be any worse than the old public pits can it? You'd queue for hours only to be greeted by some disillusioned public servant ready with a big red rubber stamp for something trivial on your car.
There was a guy at Warwick that revelled in using the lip of the pit to rip off front spoilers then he'd loudly exclaim "Its too low"
