The switch doesn't do what 99% of punters think it does by that I mean, initiate a burn anytime you like. It can only start one once the dash light comes on, it essentially only aids you in getting it to a dealer.
It was never offered as a retro fit in the "this is not a recall letter" either, it can be requested but is assessed on a case by case basis by Toyota.
You can initiate a burn anytime with Torque Pro though.
Having said all that, my work Hilux has been working as intended. Used 90% city 10% freeway.
