In all fairness most of those 'problems' listed above are typical of any car that is a decade old.

The manuals can crack on the firewall where the clutch cable goes thru.

I'm guessing the utes may have issues with rust under the try liners?? I'm too scared to pull mine off to check, a job for summer.

A bit of misinfo right there, maybe if she hasn't been serviced at all but the autos last longer than that generally speaking.
