Another car that used to go hard was a Chrysler Centura with a 265 Hemi engine.
Another car (don't laugh) was a Mitusbishi Magna V6. I had a TR 3 litre V6 and later on I brought a TJ 3.5 litre V6 both went like bullet.
In a motor magazine April 1999 it says that "The Sports Magna V6 equals the HSV XU8 400 metre sprint time.
Another car was a plain XY Falcon with the K-Code which is a Falcon a non GT fitted with a 351 Cleveland V8 with a two barrel carburettor. The engine could be paired with either an automatic or manual transmission.
