I agree that EVs are the future for the reasons you have stated.
Once most of Australia's private and business fleet are EVs I feel pretty sure that electricity companies will raise prices start charging accordingly.
As for solar, I can't afford solar panels at the moment, I am paying way too much for fuel!!!
