You should at least contact a repair centre that specialises in fitting reconditioned engines. I know where I am in Canberra there are several that can do this, and since this is what their business are setup to do, you can assume they will do the best job and the best price and you can expect some form of a warranty period. They will have their own way to check that the engine they are installing is worth the effort, and they most likely repair your old engine to go into someone else's vehicle in the future too. Once you get a price from a specialised repairer, then that can help you to decide?
