Success.
Rang today, got yet another person who actually DID SOMETHING!
It may have been my statement that it has been 5 weeks, I've given Ford all the leeway I can, and if the issue was not resolved by 4 pm Monday 27th August I would be passing the complaint on to Consumer affairs and the Advertising Standards Council.
It took a half hour of holding the line while he got the required approvals, but in the end I have been approved for a set of Scuff Plates fitted at no charge.

One little problem remains. Ford gave me a contact at my selling dealer. He wants to see the car so he orders the correct parts. I am 3 1/2 hours away from the dealer!
A 7 hour round trip is not going to happen, so he is going to contact Ford Monday and try and get my local dealer to do the work.
Me, I'd just like them sent to me. Fitting them cannot be rocket science, but they claim Warranty issues.
