Do not use a Wifi Extender !
Wifi Extenders take multi devices and channel it via a single wifi connection to the master
Most will give you another SSID (not zero handoff like we are used in on mobiles)
Best option is get a wifi router, ideally one that will step frequencies if it finds noise/competition (Netgear NightHawk is very good)
Something with Multi external aerials
Look at your placement - if you have some ethernet cabling in your home is is a great advantage (I have Cat6+ to all TV points, and some bedrooms)
Check your area using an app like "Wifi Analyzer" in Android Store by Kevin Yuan - might see that your neighbour is blasting you with a strong signal.
