A few years ago I received an email from a friend about a XW? XY? GT or Hoey just picked up from receiving a full restoration. (100k +) It was practically written off on the way home. Wasn't it a purply colour?
Was this real? Does anyone know of this one other than I know a mate who knows... Wonder if it was insured...

There were a few differences in details, and could not have been the same car. One was the tyres IIRC.

Yes, it was a fake.
