I have 2007 LT Focus Zetec 2.0L Petrol Auto with 75k on the clock. When I hit the accelerator pedal at low to mid speed there is a small metallic sounding type of rattle rattle that occurs for a second or two only. It sounds a bit like a paper clip rattling in an empty baked beans can. This rattle does not occur when the car idles, nor when slowing down. The rattle is more pronounced when you hit the accelerator pedal harder. Any thoughts on what is causing this and how to fix. Thanks

LS-LV focus' are not happy on 91. I only use 95+ in mine, otherwise it pings its Ar$e off!

Yep, I had the same problem in hard acceleration in third gear in a 4-speed auto LV. Swapped to using 98, problem went away, though you could probably use 95 for the same outcome.

Pinging is not good for your donk, it usually happen s under heavy load or if you lug it, there's more than one reason why it happens. ....... but Often the easiest fix is to put better qaulity fuel in (higher octane).
