I have a water leak from fire wall after it rains.Water drips onto your feet at brake & clutch pedals.My car is a 99 Ute,my son has 02 Ute & has the same problem after it rains.Im geussing the water is collecting somewhere & coming through with the movement of driving.Has anyone else had this problem ??

funny you should ask this,driving back from syd on the weekend i had a few drops leak onto my foot lol,i havnt had time to looks for the leak yet but if no one else knows what it is ill find it and tell ya

Both our cars are the same, my Xr leaks and the mrs Falcon S leaks too....

My guess would be if the car is a manual, then there is a crack where the clutch cable runs through the firewall, its a common problem for an AU. I believe the firewall flexes from the clutch being pushed in a out....

mine is manual and there is no crack ive checked that.

Its a common problem. Pedal box at the firewall apparently. The firewall is a little thin and the movement of the clutch weakens it and cracks it. Only manuals effected.

It would most probaly be a rubber grommet in the fire wall that has broken down over time had the same prob with my car just a 5 cent piece of rubber that seals around cables and wires going through the wall.

It's nothing silicon can't fix, but you have to find the source of the leak first!

I had the same thing with my manual xr6. Simply remove the drivers wiper and remove the plastic that is under it. if you get a light and flash it down there you will see 6 (maybe 8) spot weilds that tend to pull apart. I simply used some silicon and no more leaks!

Thanks sickxr found 3 spot welds that looked dodgy put silicon on them,so far so good.no leaks
