That is nuts!!
I wonder if he has the individual braking system that I have seen on a mini - so you can slow each front wheel individually so you can turn a much tighter circle. |

Very cool. I am also wondering how they remember exactly what to do and where to go. Unless its the same course each time they race. Very skilled driving though!

Rear steer is about the only time I've seen something move like that, or perhaps a bobcat.

I posted the yellow mini ones ages ago. It's great.
The gool ol' golden rally handbrake without ratchet ![]() Motorkhana's are fun ... and yeah you do need a great memory for the track as well ... and they do change for each round as well. Extremely skilled driving indeed. Notice the guy in the Lotus was racing without a helmet on ... looked like a beenie actually ![]()

i saw an episode of '5th Gear' (Lifestyle channel, FOXTEL) recently which had a segment on this form of racing. Most of the entrants are specially built for heaps of toque at low revs to allow for the rapid changes in direction.. The have mini mokes, all sorts of little bangers. They have a map handed to them before competing and just have to memorise it.. One of the drivers was shown jogging around the track beforehand, doing all the movements of steering and handbraking, walking backwards etc to get the track into his memory.. looked quite amusing. Sort of like the way golfers take ghost swings at their imaginary ball before taking the real shot.
