Nissan Releases Images For FIA-GT1 GT-R Race Car

Nissan has released pictures of the race ready GT-R GT1 that will be for sale to teams competing in the FIA-GT1 race.



Sumo Power GT(UK) and Swiss Racing Team (CH) are two teams that have signed up to race Nissan’s GT-R GT1, both teams will have technical support from NISMO (Nissan Motorsport).



A unique VK56DE 5.6 litre V8 engine that produces 447kW and 650Nm of torque. The gearbox is a Ricardo six speed with a 5.5 inch carbon-fibre triple plate clutch which sends drive to the rear wheels. The brakes are made of carbon-ceramic discs with six piston callipers, Rays supply the 18-inch forged alloy wheels.



Externally there is a full carbon-fibre Nismo body kit, Gt styled wing, plastic windows and vented bonnet. A rumoured $720,000 asking price and a kerb weight of 1,350 kg ( the production model weighs 1,720 kg).
