From what I remember reading about the Hurricane it was a different version of the modular. The block would be bigger bore, stroke would be probably the same as 5.4 to get to 6.2. Heads would be most likely 3V just like the current 5.4 but combustion chambers to suit the bigger bore. Bore/stroke ratios would be much more suitable to achieve higher revs with lower piston speeds. Further development would be done to increase power and decrease emissions and fuel usage. They don't have the cash to delevop a clean sheet design, especially when you can already get a 6.0 from a different block with bigger bores.
