im getting Myth Busters flash backs!

yes a ute is what you need. drop the tailgate when you wanna fire it up and then your off....like a rocket.
about 5 or 6 years ago i was at the Ballarat swap meet and there was this old 30s-40s type car (could have been a Rolls or Bently for all i remember) that had a 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin (i think Merlin??) engine fitted and it was drivable too (probably not street drivable though).
the guy wouldnt start it up which was a shame.
anyway 12K for a jet engine has gotta be a bargain!

Are you thinking of Rod Hadfields "Final Objective" 55 chev with a rolls royce merlin V12... aka the worlds most powerful street legal car?

Or alternatively, ditch the trailer and retro-fit some perspex wings!

Landing may present some issues though...
