Hey im looking for a 1600 engine for my MK1 Escort, i live in adelaide and can't find one anywhere, if anyone know where i might be able to get one please help, cheers

Now I dont want to tell you how to suck eggs - so ignore if you already know
the only difference with the 1600 over the 1300 is the bottom end- it is an inch higher than the 1300 - your alternator, distributer starter etc will be the same. the late model 1600 came with twin barrel webers as standard or you can an early GT manifold (I have one - going cheap if you need one) so my point is look around - even if you only find a block - unless you are looking for a good runner if you get desperate over there, try Edgar Haines at FjordFord in Mordialoc 9587 1588 or Yesterford in Ringwood |

Contact the cortina and capri car club in SA. Theres a guy there called Henry Jones tha wrecks cortina and escorts. Specialises in Kent Engines.
