it should last more than 6 months as i don't use the that since i have the truck with me.
mostly on weekends and for long drives

it gets driven 4-5 times a week but i don't disconnect as i keep forgetting but since i put the new battery no issues.

and the car has been tested many time so it's not the car

Maybe look into an isolation switch
That way no power draining from battery and theft deterant as well
