I was just wondering if anybody would have any info or knowledge on how I would go about installing a shaker onto my bonnet and taking advantage of it with my crappy CFI motor to get a cold air intake effect that was used like the old GT.
I know it sounds stupid but that carby lookin donut shaped POS air filter and CFI conbination = poor performance. Sure it wouldn't help much getting cold air intake but its a start and plus that coming through the bonnet in the form of a shaker would look pretty cool... i think anyway. : |

I really dont think you can improve on Ford's cold air intake for the CFI other than make the mouth of the intake a bit wider by heating it with a heat gun. Have a look at it, you can not get a more direct path for the air to flow.....why try and mod something that is already spot on?

OK dude, MPFI IT! QUICK!
I use to be on CFI up untill about 4 days ago. I CBF converting the car thinking it was alot of work, when infact its quite easy. I was stunned about how much quicker the car was and how different it felt. Instead of the car feeling like it was pushing the limits of its power evertime i accelerated, it now feels like it wants to go faster! But each to there own I played around with Cold intake for CFI and found it make hardly any difference.

I swear to god, if you put a shaker on your shitty 6 cylinder I will personally fly to Australia and kick you in the nuts. It's just not on.

Back on topic - Don't bother with the shaker, it'd be a waste of cash and probably considered Rice |

I think I've seen a shaker on an EA, EB, or whatever. Can't remember where but it didn't look half bad. What ya need is the V8 grunt to go underneath it :

Oh god! :(
Please don't waste your money on the CFI! I reckon a shaker scoop might look good, but people (myself included :P) will laugh at you as soon as you open the bonnet to reveal a CFI sitting there... |

Good idea in theory, and it may even provide you with slightly better flow, but it would be easier and cheaper to convert to mpi. And with a shaker, poeple will think your car has some absolute haul *** ability, which the CFI will only limit.
