Default Au1 ute plus au2 fairlane

I have an au1 ute and i am looking at a 2000 model au fairlane for parts, i want the 5L, the dash, leather interior, door trims and whole front end on my ute, what do people think of how possible this is? Will i need to swap the wiring harness from the fairlane for all the dash gear?

I think it will be an interesing combo if i can pull it off

Well essentially this is what I am doing to my wagon except only without the extra seats etc. Should all be possible, not too sure how much of the wiring would have to be changed though. Being a series 1 I would expect you would have to change a fair bit of wiring over.

Physically everything will bolt straight in though. Entire front end, dash, heaterbox, seats, door trims etc.

A couple of questions, firstly what must be done with the rear wiring harness as in door lights on the dash or do we just remove ans forget?
Are the brakes from a series 1 nu different from a a serries 2 ute because my ute nearly rips the wheel out of my hands when brakes applied on a steep incline?
Do we need to change all the wireing harness's ( staying with the six) or just the body harness and bcm?
And to run the vct intech do i only need to swap motor and ecu?

The door light on the dash will turn off when you disconnect the switch. The front brakes on S1 are one piston calipers S2 has two piston calipers. Use the fairlane wiring harness and graft at the first plug near the right rear wheel, the tail lights have the same colour coded wires.
